EVENT: VOCALS & VERSES 28.10.12 with RACHEL KERR
A showcase with a difference, Vocals & Versus is an event featuring amazing poetry performances and live music. Since its humble beginnings in March 2011, Vocals and Versus is growing from strength to strength exhibiting the best in UK talent. This month the show takes place in the intimate setting of the Concrete space right in the heart of Shoreditch. Mobo nominated Rachel Kerr will begracing the line up with her extraordinary vocals and awesome stage presence. There will also be music from the beautiful voice of
Paul Raj (check out his video below) and sophisticated sounds of Marie Dahlstrom. Representing the lyrical verses of the show is Barney artist and Zena Edwards who will be tearing up the mic for all the poetry fans. For all the newbies wanting exposure into the performance scene there is an open mic session which will be supported by the soulful sounds of the live band.

If you're looking for good vibes and a mature atmosphere then Vocals & Versus is for you. You can make a saving if you arrival early as tickets are £8 before 8.30pm and £10 thereafter. Photography on the evening will be provided by NK Abani Photography and the host will be Kae Kurd. Fellow creative's, poet lovers and music enthusiasts get involved for a unique evening described as "a mix between Jazz Cafe and Def Poetry Jam. Don't miss out.
