In a recent interview with Global Grind, DeVon Franklin reveals he was celibate for over a decade! The Sony Executive and his beautiful wife Meagan Good of three months made the headlines when they shared their Christian views of no sex before marriage. Although they made their beliefs public, it was not known exactly how long DeVon was celibate for. Check out the video where DeVon explains what made him abstain for so long...

"Part of what I also do is preach and the thing that I couldn't do which was eating me apart, goes back to this idea of being whoever God created you to be, because sometimes we wanna be this person at home, this person in the office and this person at church. Then we get our lines mixed up, trying to be different people in different situations and it tears you a part. So what was happening with me was that I would go and preach one thing but I was living another and I could not do it. I could not look at myself in the mirror. So I had to stop and I said until I get married you know what that's off the table."

The new author also speaks about his new book Produced by Faith which talks about not compromising what you believe in order to find success. Possessing 15 years of experience in Hollywood he defines success as:

Success is about holding unto who you are and embracing it. The more that I began to do that in my own career the more doors that started opening.

Speaking about his marriage to Meagan he reveals:

... I am happy. It's great because she's great. We've been married just over three months. That was a key to happiness. With men sometimes we run from it but I'm telling you its a blessing, it is the greatest blessing of life because then you're at peace.

Awww how sweet!
