NEWS: MIND MAKEOVER DAY 16 – ‘POP CULTURE’ @BALIVAMUSIC
What is considered 'socially accepted' may not always be in line with the bible. Even Christians can get it wrong says Baliva. He speaks on the slave trade which happened with tolerance and under the eyes of many Christians. At the same time there were some Christians that opposed it and fought for the abolishment of slavery. Baliva points out that they were able to see that it was wrong even though it was socially accepted. Its through revelation that we establish what is right and what is wrong and by spending time with God, prayer and meditation of his word. Romans 12:2 says Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. The challenge for today is check yourself. Are the views and beliefs you have in line with God's word? Let's not allow popular culture and patterns of the world dictate to us what is right and wrong.
