UGCY is a thrilling competition that sets out to Celebrate Young Talent through gospel music. If you haven't had the chance to attend before then you really don't want to miss the electrifying showcase of Gospel music this weekend.

The award-winning University Gospel Choir of the Year  is an annual competition which is now in its 3rd year. Watch as the UK's talented University choirs showcase their best performances and dance moves in a quest to win the title of the University Gospel Choir of the year. You can expect a night of great entertainment, soul lifting music and family fun. UGCY is a unique event buzzing with great vibes and adrenaline guaranteed to leave you uplifted and inspired.

Hosted by MOBO Gospel Award Winner Rachel Kerr, UGCY 2013 will take place 6th July 2013 at 7pm, at the historic Hippodrome in the heart of North West London - Golders Green. The top 8 university Gospel choirs will battle it out to take home the prestigious UGCY 2013 title. This years line up is as follows:

University of Surrey (University of Surrey Gospel Choir)

Queen Mary University (QMUL Unite Choir)

Imperial College (ICGC)

Royal Holloway University (Royal Holloway Gospel Choir)

University of the West of England (UWE Gospel Choir)

Canterbury Christchurch University (Christchurch Gospel Choir)

University of Leicester (Leicester University Voices)

And back to defend their title, our 2012 champions:
University of Manchester (Harmony Gospel Choir)

Going from strength to strength the UGCY competition, has support from the Mayor of London, MPs and influential individuals from across the spectrum. This special event provides a platform for young people to really shine and showcase their musical talents.
