NEWS: DEITRICK HADDON IS MARRIED AGAINAletha Adu reports on Deitrick Haddon's wedding announcement to his second wife and mother of his child. In this article you can check out his wedding pics and tell us what you think about his new marriage!
As of the 21st July 2013, Deitrick Haddon has declared himself: “officially a married man” and claimed it to be one of the greatest days of his life. Marrying Dominique Mctyer, 29, the mother of his daughter, it seems his life finally feels complete because he is “no longer a single guy”.
Deitrick Haddon has been a leading gospel artist promoting and excelling the urban gospel music area for around 15 years, creating the hit “Sinners Prayer” a fusion of R&B and gospel. Not to mention the uplifting radio hit “Well Done” – Haddon has and will continue to take gospel music an all new high!
Deitrick Haddon and his now ex-wife Damita Haddon were renowned for their weekly show: 85 South Gospel Street that provided an array of gospel artists (such as Donny McClurkin and Natalie Wilson) a platform to display their talents, airing every Friday at 4.30 pm on The Word Network. As well as exploring her own gospel career, Damita has featured on Deitrick’s albums, one of them being “Save Somebody” from his outstanding album Church on The Moon.
Despite their marriage breakdown and Deitrick’s step-down from being the main Pastor at Detroit’s Kingdom Culture Church, he is set to launch his own record label ‘Red Jungle Records’ – allowing him to write and produce for other artists. Along with all his music progress, Deitrick’s fans have been sending the newly-weds prayers and well-wishes. But Deitrick has once again caused uproar; and not the positive kind.
Because of his Christian background and faith, opinions are stirring amongst his fans and others in and beyond the gospel industry. The Bible (containing the most important viewpoint) has numerous passages and quotes about marriage and divorce. Malachi 2:16 contains a particularly strong quote: “The Lord God All-Powerful of Israel hates anyone who is cruel enough to divorce his wife”. But before we begin to judge the actions of Deitrick Haddon, we must not forget that : “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” 1 John 1:9.
Despite all the commotion in regards to his new marriage, Deitrick managed to post an uplifting and quote from Luke 1:37. It reads: "For nothing is impossible with God". This is definitely a quote we can all use in our lives!
