NEWS: MIND MAKEOVER DAY 21 – ‘ATTITUDE’ @ANDYGRAYJOHN330

Andy Gray presents the final Mind Makeover video blog for the 21 day challenge. Andy's message is based on Philippians 2:5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.' Looking at the life of Christ, Andy says we should take on the attitude of Jesus in our daily lives. He lived a life of service and obedience even to the point of death. It's this amazing kind of  humility that Jesus displayed that we should model. Andy advises we can do this by putting others first before ourselves. The Christian life is a sacrificial lifestyle which considers the needs of others before ourselves. Day 21 asks us to honour and serve friends, family, colleagues, brothers and sisters. The bible also says in John 3:30 He must increase but I must decrease. The final Challenge is to ask yourself do I have the same attitude as Jesus? Do I put others...

NEWS: MIND MAKEOVER DAY 20 – ‘FOLLOW ME’ @IFYALEXIS

In today's Mind Makeover blog Ify speaks about what it actually means to bear our Cross in Christ, deny ourselves and really follow Jesus. The scripture Matthew 16:24-25  reminds Ify about the call upon her life;  'Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.' Ify makes a valid point that Jesus doesn't force us to come after him or choose the way of salvation. He gives us free will. For those of us that make that decision to

NEWS: MIND MAKEOVER DAY 19 – ‘LIVING A LIE’ @DJKELECHI

Today's Mind Makeover video is presented by DJ Kelechi where he gives us an insight into his powerful testimony.  DJ Kelechi recalls when he first became a Christian and he integrated his faith into his life. However he admits to doing things that didn't really glorify God. As he went into a deeper relationship with God, the Lord began to talk to him about coming out of a life of darkness and walking into a life of light; living in the right way. Christianity is not just about singing and praising and attending church on Sundays; it's a lifestyle. We should come to a point where we hate sin and decide to live for God wholeheartedly. DJ Kelechi asks what things in our life should we cut out? Is there anything in our life that is stopping us from praying or drawing us closer to God? The more time spent in God's presence...

NEWS: MIND MAKEOVER DAY 18 – ‘GO TELL EM’ BY TINA AMADI

The bible says in 1 Peter 2:9 (NLT) But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, [a] a holy nation, God's very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. Tina explores our roles as Priests. As Christians we are to do the exact same thing that Jesus did which is to spread the good news of the gospel. We are to tell people that they can come out of darkness into light, tell them they can come out of sorrow and into joy, tell people they can come out of unhappiness and into happiness. This is the power of the gospel and its also how we should exercise our God given roles as priests. Today's message is full of hope and challenges us to spread...

NEWS: MIND MAKEOVER DAY 17 – ‘DON’T WASTE YOUR LIFE’ @REALJVESSEL

J Vessel breaks down how the pleasures of this world isolate us from the things of the Father. Chasing after the things of the world is a wasted life because these things will perish. It's easy to get caught up in the hype of status and possessions for validation but J Vessel emphasizes the importance of putting God first. 1 John 2:16-17 says  For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. The scripture shows that chasing after God brings life and when we put him first, everything else shall follow. Today's challenge prompts us to live unselfishly and do something that pleases God. What can...

NEWS: MIND MAKEOVER DAY 16 – ‘POP CULTURE’ @BALIVAMUSIC

What is considered 'socially accepted' may not always be in line with the bible. Even Christians can get it wrong says Baliva. He speaks on the slave trade which happened with tolerance and under the eyes of many Christians.  At the same time there were some Christians that opposed it and fought for the abolishment of slavery. Baliva points out that they were able to see that it was wrong even though it was socially accepted.  Its through revelation that we establish what is right and what is wrong and by spending time with God, prayer and meditation of his word. Romans 12:2 says  Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. The challenge for today is check yourself. Are the views and beliefs you have in line...

NEWS: MIND MAKEOVER DAY 15 – ‘JUST DO YOU’ @TRIPLEOMUSIC

Triple O talks about image being a dominant concern in today's society within media and even among our peers. The danger of this is that we can end up living for people, trying to please them. However Triple O says that if we are to live a life that does not conform to this world, we should only to 'look at' man but inevitably 'look up' to God.  Proverbs 21:29 (NIV) says The wicked put up a bold front, but the upright give thought to their ways. This encouraging message advises us to focus on living to glorify and please God. Today's Challenge is to disregard people's opinions. Don't let them govern your life. Decide to live by what the God says because at the end of the day it's only His opinion that counts.

Faith Child's video blog is based on Matthew 5:16 and he questions 'how can we let our light shine before men?' As Christian's no matter how dark things may be we can make a difference to the things and world around us. Whether at work, school, home, community or socially we can impact people and our environments in a good and positive way. NEWS: MIND MAKEOVER DAY ELEVEN – ‘DO GOODER’ @BALIVAMUSIC

Check out Baliva's message for today's I Do Not Conform Mind Makeover Challenge. Day eleven looks at whether our good deeds make us a good person. Baliva reflects on Galatians  5:4-6 which asks us to review our faith in Jesus Christ which justifies us. He  stresses that our works do not save us as we all fall short of the glory of God. It's our relationship with God that counts not religious deeds. Baliva prompts us to ask ourselves does doing good deeds make us good? Does attending church and doing charity work get us into heaven? And are we saved by Faith in Jesus?

2nd  Corinthians 5:17 says " Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." In today's video blog Alyson, Lisa and Stacey present the realities of building a relationship with God which takes dedication, prayer and time in his presence. A new life in Christ is truly a new start to live life in the spirit which is a change that starts on the inside and will eventually manifest on the outside. Your past is not taken into account when you are born again, taking the example of Paul, the girls recall how God used him for his glory even though he had a past of persecuting Christians. Yet God turned around Paul's life and did not hold his sins against him. So for today's challenge; Look at yourself through God's eyes. What does His Word say about you? Know that u are...

NEWS: MIND MAKEOVER CHALLENGE DAY SEVEN – ‘GIFTS’ @CHALEBOYTHEPOET

ChaleBoyThePoet draws on his experience as a poet to illustrate the need to use our gifts to honour God. In this video blog ChaleBoyThePoet admits his content didn't have much substance when he started out in poetry. It was when he gave his life to Christ that he found purpose and meaning in his poems. We all have gifts and they may not be the obvious talents like singing or performing, it could be organising things or even being a great motivator. Whatever it is ChaleBoyThePoet says that we must use what we have to life up his name. The challenge for today is start using your talents and if you don't know what is then pray about it and let God reveal it to you. Psalm 150:6 says  Let everything that has breath Praise the Lord. Our abilities should do this too.
